A Dummies' Guide to Skincare Routine (with photos)

It took me a few years but it's never too late to start on a routine . I never knew what comes first , I can never remember what comes first. Do I cleanse, moisturize then tone or tone first then moisturize? In order to aid me (and my goldfish memory), my friends had to write numbers down on the bottles ...but I can still forget.

It wasn't until the complexion went haywire that I put in effort to remember ! Guess it takes a "crisis" to get me started .

I haven't post something in awhile and I refuse to only post angry stuff this year . I need to be zen and calm my tits down. But I've nothing to blog about . So.... Here's an amateur's guide to a skincare routine: 

Hi, here's me. With makeup at 1 in the morning .

Here's me. Without makeup and after I finished my skincare routine at 1.50am on the same day. Is it me or is the photo not focus =/

I think got no difference because iPhone 5S front camera not as zai as iPhone 6. However I'm sure I look slightly radiant ? Self praise is definitely no praise at all. Ya ya ya, it's my post, not yours . So praise the Lord that my complexion is better than this :

So I ran out of my Biore makeup remover wipes. I found this in my drawer, checked and it wasn't expired ! Scored. 

NO MORE THIS ONE SO I ANYHOW USE SOMETHING ELSE .

Its texture is like a piece of wet tissue and it removes my makeup with a very light swipe . Then again, I don't put on getai makeup therefore my argument is invalid.

Makeup removed! Cannot even see the makeup on the wipes . But hello, I'm barefaced on the Internet. Whadduppppp!

Moving on. I use my mum's facial wash 'cause I'm lazy. Lazy to buy my own. Lazy to try which is better for my skin but ...

It brightens my face ! Every time I step out of the shower I am in awe! I love the rosy cheeks I have on although I'm not sure if it's because of the steam from the hot water .

Okay, so I tone. XT9A intro this to me . I loved the smell so despite the fact I don't see an improvement to my skin, I'm still using it. I mean, I still got more than half a bottle !

Tone tone tone upwards ! I wish I can tone my arms at the same time so it won't be so flabby . 

Kohs mum used this as well and this bottle was given to me by her before the breakup. I love using this ! Makes my face feels so bouncy and white . Maybe because I am Asian... we like being fair skinned.

Let's moisturize in circular motion ! Let the skin adorb the goodness! 

There you go ! All done. Cleanse. Tone. Moisturize . I am so in love with how I look after I finish doing my skincare routine. More radiant. Fairer. And clean.

Everyone, no really, everyone knows how much I love love love Britney Spears. I dont have all of her albums but I do have all of her scents. And when someone asks me what perfume do I use, I proudly say "Its Britney, bitch."









I am so glad that she's back on track and of course, I am proud of her for getting back on track. Seeing your idol fall and rise up again, only reminds me of how human she is. She's like any one of us. At least, she didnt overdose and die coughcorycough.

1 world music festival cancelled 2 days before event. THE FUCK IS WRONG?

So annoyed. So so so annoyed. Who the fuck does contests, builds up the hype and have people forgoing Hardwell and F1 gigs just so that they can fucking cancel the music festival 2 days before the event? Sickos. People who are fucked in their brains.

I know its not easy on the organisers as well. All the refunds they got to do, the PR they got to do to keep everyone calm, and the fact that they will get boycotted for future events they (an Australian company) plan to organise in +65. I reckon its not something they expect to happen. However, the masses are not as understanding, especially those who are flying down to catch 60 acts in 2 days.

Okay, I didnt count if there are 60 acts but a source was telling me that out of 60 acts, only 31 were confirmed. I am guessing out of the 31 confirmed, 28 of them are local acts.

Here, from Iggy Azalea's twitter, I gathered that she was one of the few acts who were pending and only agreed to perform after 17th Sept. Heng, she havent flew to Singapore and why couldnt the organisers explain to her?! Something smells fishy.

Then, I got bored and decided to google twitter accounts of whom I wanted to check out. The last time I saw Cobra Starship was at the first Singfest and I am very ready to watch them live again. But, they didnt mention anything about coming to Singapore on twitter. I wonder if Moby is here already. Hmm...

And, there were some licensing issues and tickets sales quota not met. Around 4k tickets were unsold, I heard. Seriously, you place your events to clash with F1 and Hardwell, and expect it to be sold out event? WHO CAN GIVE UP WATCHING RIHANNA AND JUSTIN BIEBER FOR SNOOP DOG/LION OR SEZAILI SEZARI? Right, now I am just making fun. Ha ha, I am so funny. Justin Bieber.

In all honesty thou, I am not pissed at all. I got the tickets for free and am packed to the brim for this weekend. I was so worried about my schedule; first YEC meeting, dodgeball, International Deaf Day, food tasting plus I still got classes to teach. I can't wait to breathe after Sign Language exam happening in a few hours. You do know that this is me trying to update you with my life so that I dont sound like I have nothing to do yet I dont update this space. Well, I know I fail.

Very auntie-like, I know. I got that bruise from dodgeball the other day. It expanded to the size of my fist now. Clumsy toad is me.

Racism

After watching an anti racism awareness video from this < http://www.upworthy.com/a-boy-makes-anti-muslim-comments-in-front-of-an-american-soldier-the-soldiers-reply-priceless> website, I find it extremely inspiring that people are standing up against racism. Especially when the soldier stood up for the cashier. He is truly one to be respected. When you're placed in a situation where you are trying to recover from the loss of comrades on the battlefield and facing your enemies who have a different religion from you, it's difficult to remain neutral but ever easy to form biased judgements against them. However, yet he realizes the true meaning behind his fighting - peace and equality. (However, this does not represent my stand against the war with Syria as that is entirely two different matters.)

Racism can't never be done away with like how we can never do away with people who are quick to judge. Human nature tends to be quick to judge but not to understand. But then again, how many times can we understand before we are conformed by the circumstances that forces us to judge almost immediately. If we see someone acting shady and using the shadows as their cover, we immediately become alert of our belongings but what if he or she was just a shy individual? However, the fact that we all just want to play safe and place ourselves first mean racism can never go away. In fact, many other selfish behaviors that arise from this will never go away and humanity can never attain peace completely. 

This entry is just how I feel about racism briefly.... Earnestly, I pray that we can do away with racism eventually because we are all equal beings and colors are not meant to be used for discrimination and in my belief, Christianity, God did not give us colors as a mean to judge and discriminate. If so, then we would not be just brown, yellow or white. I believe there would be so much more. 

And yes, I will stop procrastinating about my make up entry but I just felt that this is so much more important..
