4/5 Stars
A thief shot by a man carrying a briefcase and death of an aide to a US Congressman Stephen Collins (Ben Affleck) were two unrelated deaths. As the story unfolds, the two deaths became a mystery waiting to be uncovered. A witness, who was also shot by the killer, is in a coma. Journalist and long time friend of Collins, Cal McAffrey (Russell Crowe) and rookie Della (Rachel McAdams) from Washington Globe newspaper were determine to dig up clues that eventually lead them to a corporate cover-up. Those involved were insiders, informants, and assassins. Cal uses his police contacts to get information while Della uses blogging to get information to the public. However, both Cal and Della soon became victims of ethicality as they dive in, nearer to the truth.
